It’s inspiring when I read about new firms entering the market to offer new services to the wealth management industry. Like these new offerings, we began our own journey back in 2012 when we wondered if an online business offering potential and existing clients an opportunity to find a new wealth manager had legs.

Our motivation was to try and move the referral process on a little bit from the tips from friends and family, accountants and lawyers that were the typical introduction routes into wealth management. Although there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, our mission was to try and make introductions based on fact rather than what others recommend. Your situation is usually going to be different from someone you know.
